Does Tikkl charge fees from attendees?

No, Tikkl does not charge fees from attendees. We charge only you the organizers, for using our software and services.

You may choose to

• absorb fees and list an all-inclusive ticket price or
• pass fees, listing a ticket price and a custom fee (which may be equal to, higher, or lower than what Tikkl charges you).

What does Tikkl recommend - absorb or pass fees?

We recommend you absorb your ticketing and payment gateway fees (just as you do your venue or audio visual equipment fees) and list an all-inclusive what-you-see-is-what-you-pay WYSYWP price. That's what attendees prefer and we find it boosts signups.

Can I use my own payment gateway?

No, you will use Tikkl's payment gateway account with Razorpay so that you can get started within minutes without the hassle of setting up with Razorpay. This also allows for ticket revenues and fees to be collected and disbursed efficiently.

Are payment gateway fees separate?

Payment gateway fees for credit card processing will apply separately. 2% + GST per transaction.

When will organizers receive ticket sales payout?

Your ticket sales revenue, minus Tikkl and Razorpay fees, will be processed within 1-7 days after event closes. For long running event series, payouts will be processed periodically.

If you use Tikkl to sell tickets outside India in foreign currencies, you will receive payouts within 1-30 days after event closes.

How are fees calculated?

Tikkl (and payment gateways too) calculate fees on final price paid by ticket buyer and not on the list price of a ticket.

Can we pass fees to ticket buyers?

You can choose to absorb fees or pass them to ticket buyers. You can pass a fee equivalent to Tikkl fees, Tikkl + CC fees, or any custom amount. Fees you pass will be listed upfront for ticket-buyers.

Will GST be charged on tickets?

You, the event organizer, are solely responsible for determining if you should collect GST from ticket-buyers and selecting the option to do so on the Tikkl platform. Tikkl acts as your limited payment agent for the purpose of facilitating the receipt of payments made by your ticket buyers through our payment processing partner, and the disbursement of those payments to you.

Will GST be charged on Tikkl fees?

Tikkl will collect GST on its fees.

Can we process cancellations or exchanges, if we need to?

We can process cancellations and exchanges for you, however, a charge will apply. Also, note that Tikkl ticketing and livestreaming fees and payment gateway's credit card processing fees that were charged on the original transaction will still apply and not be refunded by Tikkl or payment gateway.

Can we give free or complimentary tickets or sell tickets offline or at 3rd party sites, for our paid in-person events?

Yes, you can. And we will not charge Tikkl fees on those tickets. However, if your paid in-person event has reserved seating, you can only give free or sell offline, a maximum of 20% of seats, without incurring Tikkl fees.

Can we give free or complimentary tickets for our paid virtual/hybrid events?

Yes, you can. Up to a maximum of 10 or < 10% of total tickets sold, whichever is lower. Note that whenever you issue free tickets, we zero out fees if any for the ticket buyer, however, we will charge you Tikkl fees on free tickets in excess of this allowed limit.

Can we sell tickets offline or at 3rd party sites for our paid virtual/hybrid events?

No, you cannot. Tikkl has robust security measures in place for virtual/hybrid events and does not support 3rd party ticket sales.

What if my virtual event exceeds 4 hours?

An excess data usage fee will apply if bandwidth usage exceeds 4 hours of streaming per ticket.

Can I list virtual events with global USD pricing for audiences outside India?

Yes, India based event organizers can use our service to list their virtual events at global USD prices for USA and Worldwide audiences. UK+MEA and APAC are other popular regions. Please refer to our USA Pricing page for fees and terms. Payouts from USA to India will be processed 1-30 days after event closes at our international exchange rate for that week.
